In a uniquely Southern California ceremony, the Catholic Diocese of Orange County will once again host a “Blessing of the Waves” in Surf City on Sunday. Everyone is welcome to bless the surf in this light-hearted, spiritual celebration.

After suing the Newport Police department for not issuing a promotion due of a rumor, Neil Harvey has won the suit, been promoted and will stay home and collect a paycheck.  Under the agreement of the lawsuit, Harvey will be made lieutenant and be paid his regular salary, as if he were coming to work, until retirement.  WHOLE STORY

Two interactive mazes, one patterned after video game, “Silent Hill” and the other simply titled, “Fear” are open at the Brea Plaza center.  Creator, Jeff Schiefelbein says, “There are all kinds of elements, like putting your hands and feet into things.
