Disney’s new animated feature, “The Princess and the Frog” is debuting in Southern California with a bang. The Walt Disney Studios, in Burbank, are being opened to the public for the first time to preview the movie, meet Princess Tiana (and ALL of the Disney Princesses), take a first-ever tour of the historic studios, and more for “the Ultimate Disney Experience.” Disneyland is hosting the jazzy group with its own, “Showboat Jubilee.” The Princess and the Frog opens WIDE in theaters on December 11.

The Fraternal Order of Real Bearded Santas had a get-together at Knott’s Berry Farm to prepare for the busy days ahead. Along with songs of good cheer and motivation to keep smiling, the Santas had an extra dose of chitchat about keeping healthy this year. Since Wells Fargo bought the waning Wachovia bank last year, the company has been reorganizing the businesses and has announced 25 branch closures in Orange County, along with 101 total statewide. The City of Costa Mesa is hosting holiday care packages for returning Marines. Suggested donations of non-perishable items and toiletries can be dropped off at Costa Mesa’s City Hall. The care packages will be compiled and donated to help “welcome home” the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment when they return from Afghanistan right before Christmas.
