The new Great Park balloon will now feature a dye-impregnated fabric with UV protected pigment that will protect its beautiful bright orange hue for several years. The balloon envelope is the actual fabric that gives the balloon its round shape. The envelope is now also enhanced with internal illumination to improve its nighttime visibility for miles. The balloon will be inflated beginning at 3:00pm this afternoon and the public is welcome to be part of the fun.
