A University of California at Irvine professor in the school of engineering and one in social sciences received letters containing a suspicious white powder. In each case, the letters read, “Black Death.” The powder has been found to be harmless but more investigations are underway. WHOLE STORY

The “Safe Families” program is underway in Orange County, supported by some of the OC’s largest churches. Families volunteer by hosting children of parents needing to get out to interviews or work opportunities.
