Thanh Ly and Li Chen have been arrested for running a prostitution ring housed in upscale apartment complexes in Irvine and Pasadena. Evidence shows that the women involved were not human trafficking victims but rather enticed to join the business by cars, jewelry and money. WHOLE STORY

Parents of children in South Orange County who have been diagnosed with autism are a bit disappointed with results of a state wide study just released by UC Davis. The study was hoping to find evidence-linking autism to an environmental factor in ten study areas throughout the state with higher autism rates. Instead, the study found only that these children tended to have parents with higher education. WHOLE STORY
KIA Motors, based in Irvine, has partnered with Microsoft to introduce “UVO” technology (UVO=your voice) for vehicles coming off the assembly line this summer. UVO will allow drivers and passengers to answer and place phone calls, receive and respond to text messages, and access music with the sound of their voice. WHOLE STORY
A holiday burglary ring has been exposed after a OC Sheriff sting operation. At least three men followed holiday shoppers back to their cars, watched as they left bags and packages and returned to shopping. The men would then enter the cars and take everything. Sheriff officials warn shoppers, during the holidays and always, to be careful about where bags are kept and to always lock vehicles. WHOLE STORY
