Dongfan “Greg” Chung denies to this moment that his collection of information from Boeing was passed illegally to China.  However, a court disagrees and Chung has been sentenced to 15-years for “misappropriating sensitive aerospace and military information.”  WHOLE STORY

As the Orange County Sheriff department struggles to deal with a more than $50 million dollar shortfall, employment cuts will take center stage.  Beginning with Assistant Sheriff, Michael Hillmann, and cutting into the professional staff by 23 members, Sheriff Sandra Hutchens hopes to continue providing emergency services at the same level with fewer people.   WHOLE STORY

For the 14th time in just two months, a white man seeming to be around 40 has robbed an Orange County bank.  Officials believe he has just been lucky thus far and that they will eventually catch him.  His demand notes are clear, “Large bills only. Hurry Up.”  There is a $20,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.  WHOLE STORY

215 Agenda, one of the embattled pot dispensaries in Orange County still operates while the struggles with the state laws are worked out.  In the meantime, the patients who use the dispensary also participate in fundraising for local charities.  In December, 215 Agenda held a toy drive for the Orangewood Children center and most recently donated $1,500 for a new filtration system for the El Toro Library.  WHOLE STORY

Linda Wilborn of Seal Beach has been arrested in the death of her two –year old daughter, Millicent.  The toddler was reported to be unresponsive by her mother and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.  Both the dead child and her twin were found to have old and new abuse injuries.  Wilborn will be arraigned tomorrow.  WHOLE STORY

Sheriff-Coroner Sandra Hutchens has enjoyed a long career within the Sheriff community, beginning as secretary for the LA Sheriff’s Department right out of high school.  Since those days, Hutchens graduated from basic training and has been promoted numerous times, along with a move to the Orange County Sheriff’s department when she was chosen by the OC Board of Supervisors to replace Sheriff Mike Carona after his retirement under criminal charges.
