Hector Manuel Medina attacked Ruben Sandoval and the shopping cart with all of his belongings with fire in January.  Medina has pleaded guilty to one count of arson causing bodily injury with an enhancement for using lighter fluid and will go to state prison for five years.  WHOLE STORY

Also today, the Irvine Public School Foundation, in cooperation with several restaurants in the area, has organized “Dine Out. Help Out.,” to help take a bite out of the enormous budget cuts planned for their schools.  Participants must bring flier to restaurant or mention “Dine Out.
