In a debate sparked when the Israeli ambassador spoke at UCI more than two weeks ago, Jewish, Muslim and civil liberty organizations have continued the argument. Students say that though there is some tension between Muslims and Jews on campus, outside forces are making it seem worse than it is. The University will not comment. WHOLE STORY
Rodney Alcala, convicted for a third time on murder charges, could face the death penalty for special circumstances. Alcala, whose convictions in two other murder cases were overturned, was tried a third time due to DNA and other evidence that tied him directly to the kidnapping and killing of a 12-year old Huntington Beach girl in 1979. William M. Habermehl, Superintendent of Orange County schools, presented the State of Education in Orange County flanked with local business leaders and decision makers. State Senator – District 35
Senator Tom Harman represents the people of the 35th Senate District, which includes the cities of Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Irvine, Cypress, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Laguna Beach, Dana Point and portions of Buena Park, Garden Grove, Santa Ana and Westminster. Harman’s priorities during his tenure in the Legislature include:

- Reduce the size of Government
- Lower taxes
- Improve public safety
- Protect our Veterans
- Protect individual property rights
- Improve and strengthen education
