California’s Safe Surrender Program provides parents an opportunity to give their baby away – safely – without being sent to jail. Leaving newborns alone in trash bins or outside does not have to happen. In Redondo Beach, Jessie Canfield told officials she did not know she was pregnant until she gave birth in a friend’s bedroom. Jon Ginnaty, an Orange County based sculptor who recently won the 2009 Downtown Santa Ana Business District recognition award and grant for outstanding Orange County artist creates astounding, full-scale clay-constructed office environments and installations.
