A clever 1-800 slogan, meant to promote local school Jog-A-Thon, turned out to connect curious callers to a pornographic chat line.  Students at Linda Vista elementary school were given the fundraising event t-shirts at recess but, all shirts were recalled by the end of the day.  According to the school, parents have been understanding of the mistake. 264 classes will be reinstated, with the help of national stimulus funds, in Cal State Fullerton’s Spring semester schedule.  Deep budget cuts caused a slash in this fall’s schedule, even after students had registered for said classes.  University personnel are quick to note that this boost in classes is only for the Spring unless there is a further infusion of cash into the system.  WHOLE STORY
